Collecting Art Pieces

Every individual has its own passion for things although men and women have different preferences. On a personal note, I can say that I am not the type of person who is very interested in collecting letters and greeting cards from family and friends. I believe written thoughts are priceless. On the other hand, my partner is the one who I can say has an eye for any kind art particularly in beautiful paintings. He is actually an artist in his own right and with proper training and practice; he would surely shine in this field.

Although he is passionate about art given with the busy schedule he is juggling every day, he finds it difficult to even hold a pencil to draw or sketch anything. To keep his interest alive, he settles in collecting art pieces for himself. For his collection to grow, he needs a broader source be it locally or internationally. While searching online, he learned about lds paintings from an online art store. The store offers a wide collection of art pieces. The assortment is so wide that it is not just limited to paintings but they also have jewelries and inspirational items as well.

He was so excited while telling me about his new found “friend”. He even takes note of the art pieces he is planning to buy. I can sense that it is going to cost us a lot spending some bucks for his collection but I think that he deserves it and it is all worth it. After all, I am just glad that he is spending his money on something valuable. He truly intends to increase his collection because he wanted to develop a tradition among his children and eventually cultivate among them the sense of love and interest with all forms of art.

  2. I think your partner really deserves to have art pieces and collection as an outlet. After all, these could still be useful for your children :)

  3. Yay, I could still remember I could not draw even just a single fish, hehehe and I was frustrated. Art is really not the cup of tea even how I tried hard to like it. LOL

  4. i have some collections of greetings cards and i love to read them whenever i feel like reading and going through the boxes at times. Although i never received noted cards often, however i would still love to save them for my future use. And i definitely agree with what you said about the written thoughts are priceless because it just is. :D

  5. I always love when too when I find the specific store that carries everything I want most especially if they sell discounted items to buy.

  6. Well I'm a collector of sorts too, and I'm doing it for the love of the art(i do paint sometimes), the items(of how intricately they were made even in small details),I love things that have withered through time(antiques). they really give satisfaction every time I look at them. Just continue supporting your partner for it may benefit you and your loved ones.

  7. I used to love drawing when I was still studying. Unfortunately due to lack of finances I was not able to pursue my interest. Right now, I am just contented watching or admiring people who can draw, paint, sketch, etc.

  8. Art works can also be an investments so if the art piece is rare and well maintained then it may yet be a good investment.

  13. My daughter is very creative. She is into painting, drawing and the likes. She must have gotten it from my father.

Art collecting is really good especially if you have money.
